Welcome home, baby Charlotte! Last week, I posted this sweet family's outdoor beach maternity session, and this week, I'm thrilled to share their in-home newborn portraits and this gorgeous pink and white baby girl nursery!
Mama is a woman after my own heart with all of her home decor and nursery details. And I mean all! From their beautiful Mcgee & Co. spring wreath that adorned their front door, to the Priano Serena & Lily wallpaper that I have in my own daughter's bedroom, we share an affinity for all things design, and it truly was a pleasure documenting their newborn milestone for their third baby girl.
With delicate pink and white hues adorning her nursery and an array of bows adding a whimsical touch, every detail seemed straight out of a storybook. And I loved how they made the effort to create a space just for baby number three! So often, the third child gets grouped with their two siblings and perhaps isn't celebrated as much as the first or even second child. I appreciated how much time the rest of the family put into celebrating baby Charlotte.
Back to this gorgeous nursery! Adorned with soft pastels and sweet accents, it provided the perfect backdrop for our in-home newborn portrait session. Soft sunlight filtered through the sheer curtains, casting a gentle glow on the room. Everywhere I looked, there were signs of joy and preparation for the newest member of the family.
Baby Charlotte, swaddled in the softest blankets, slept peacefully in her crib for a few of those iconic newborn photos, and her tiny features were angelic, so soft, and so sweet. And those eyelashes!
As we began the session, I aimed to capture the fleeting moments of infancy—the delicate curl of her fingers, the serene expression as she slept, and the unconditional love shared between parents and child. With each click of my camera, I froze these moments in time, preserving them for generations to come.
Throughout the session, the nursery served as our sanctuary—a place of comfort and familiarity for the newborn and her parents. From the dainty bows adorning the crib to the soft blankets draped over the rocking chair, every detail spoke of the love and care poured into creating this serene space.
As the afternoon sun began to wane, we wrapped up the session with hearts full of gratitude and memories that would last a lifetime. As I said my goodbyes and left the family to continue their journey together, I couldn't help but reflect on the beauty of capturing these intimate moments—the laughter and the overwhelming love that fills a home with the arrival of a new baby.
The love of that newborn portrait session was a reminder of the beauty and joy that surround us, even in the simplest of moments. And I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to witness and document the beginning of a new chapter in a family's story.
