I've had the pleasure and honor of working with this beautiful St. Johns County family for years, and today I'm sharing their third (and final) baby's maternity portrait session. I too recently had my final baby, and it's definitely a bittersweet moment with your last child. There is something so final about every single milestone that truly makes you want to bottle it all up!
For their last maternity milestone, we opted for a classic, sunset maternity portrait session, and I photographed their family at my favorite coastal spot in St. Augustine Beach. We were lucky to experience one of those evenings when the sun decided to put on a show and grace us with that pastel-hued sunset magic everyone hopes for at the beach.
Mama, adorned in a flowing cream and lace dress, looked like a goddess. I always recommend a simple, neutral maxi dress on the beach. It's timeless and works so well in that setting. As our session went on, the soft, golden-hour light emerged, creating a beautiful rim light on Mama and her glowing bump.
During my maternity portrait sessions, I always try to capture the genuine joy and connection a family has. And I'm sure I'm a bit biased because I've worked with this family several times, but aren't their girls adorable?! I love the direct smiles we were able to capture and the catch lights in their eyes in their solo shots.
Ending with a few colorful, pastel sunset portraits of the family on the coast was the perfect way to preserve their maternity milestone. These speak to the beauty of new beginnings and all of the exciting things to come with a new baby.
Until next time, St. Augustine Beach. ✨🌅
