A magical holiday photo session with the Lawler family at Disney's Magic Kingdom Park.

How adorable is this mama and her girls? And their outfits...perfection! The Magic Kingdom was the perfect place to ring in the holidays and celebrate just being together with a magical girl's trip photo session at the park! A gift from Dad to his ladies - now that's a keeper!

This magic session was truly magical because something happened at this session that I can say in all of my years of shooting at the Magic Kingdom has never happened before. FOG. Lots of it. So much so, that the castle itself was nearly unrecognizable. I arrived a little earlier than my clients to scope everything out and test the light, and to my shock, I could barely see the castle - yikes! No worries though because like everything Disney, things almost always happen beyond your control and you have to learn to roll with it. 

We skipped the holiday Main Street crowds and went around to the front and sides of the castle. It was perfect, and honestly, better in my opinion that the middle of Main Street would have been anyway!

After that, we did continue down the way to document what was most important to the girls - the Tea Cups, Dumbo, the carousel. And their beautiful, matching white dresses made for the perfect neural and feminine accents. I loved too that Mom even had custom outfits made for her girls to coordinate with the Dumbo ride! Magic Sessions are among my very favorite portrait sessions to do, not only because of the location, but having the opportunity to document children's wonder in a way that only a magical place like Walt Disney World can is priceless.
