Although I'm not a "wedding photographer" by trade, family portraits are more my jam, I was thrilled when longtime friend, colleague and client Christian Taylor reached out to me to document his special day. Christian and I met nearly ten years ago when I photographed him for a commercial shoot back in Gainesville, Florida. A fellow Gator, Christian and I quickly connected. His laughter is infectious, his smile, and he has a way of being so humble even after having achieved so much in life. He is the hardest working professional I know, and no wonder why people gravitate towards him.
His now wife, Bea, wanted a global theme to combat the fact that due to Covid they couldn't really have all of their friends and family attending. So they opted for a smaller wedding abroad that her Austrian family could attend, then they had a more traditional wedding here in the States that Christian's family and many of their friends could attend.
I loved their colors, their theme, and especially their choice in venue! What a beautiful way to incorporate their love for travel and all of the places that were special to them as a couple. Bea is European and Christian is originally from Barbados, although both have lived abroad and in the States, so a Parisian eclectic wedding combining their story made perfect sense.
Below, I've included a collage of a few of my favorites from this day. I've also included the very thoughtful review that Christian left me on Jacksonville Mom after his experience with me as their wedding photographer. It meant so much to me, and what's more, I stumbled across this review as a total surprise!! Isn't that so amazing?! It just goes to show what a beautiful person he is inside and out, and how honored I was/am that they selected me to document their special day. We need more people like this in the world. <3
