Meet Camryn - aka Brooke Shields circa Blue Lagoon look-a-like, am I right?! LOVED meeting this beautiful young woman during her Grad session on the coast! She and her Mama were so much fun. Grad sessions, especially on the beach, are among my very favorite to capture. It's a nice break from chasing around toddlers on the sand!
I always suggest a timeless look for Grad sessions. White or neutrals, and barefoot on the coast are typically a can't-go-wrong best bet. Camryn did a great job with her beautiful hair too, and I loved the light makeup - perfect for the beach. When you're this young and gorgeous, you honestly you can't improve upon anything anyway.
Funny story about this portrait session. When Mom inquired about me photographing her Grad, she said she wanted to do something on the beach at sunset for a soft and natural look. I immediately knew I wanted to suggest they have their Grad session at the beach, and sent her this post as reference. The young woman (Jenna) in this portrait session was actually their neighbor, and the people who suggested they contact me in the first place! Too funny - like attracts like!
And what would a sunset portrait session be without a beautiful, pastel-colored sky? The light we were blessed with that evening on the coast allowed for those perfect, light and airy beach portraits. I couldn't have asked for anything better for a timeless Grad session!
Either the above or the below portrait are among my very favorites from this session. You can't beat a simple, naturally-posed portrait. If this were my daughter, I would definitely have one of these portraits framed!
This final image in the white dress I loved because it gives me a sense of strength when I look at it. And, I think that is so fitting for a Grad session portrait!
