So you've booked your Sunflower Portrait Session, now what?
A common question I'm asked once a client has booked their portrait session is "What should we wear"? To help answer this question, I've created 3 family outfit groupings that will go perfectly in the setting of a sunflower field!
First up, the classic color combination of gold and navy. Although these colors pair well in many settings, there is nothing quite like navy, gold and cornflower blue among the coordinating marigold color of sunflowers. And what brings even more of a spring vibe to this outfit is the addition of classic spring patterns like gingham. In fact, gingham is in for spring in a big way so win - win!

Next up, and my personal favorite, the Boho look with the white and neutral color palette. Light, airy and boho always work well when photographing in a location that has the opportunity for backlight. Try to wear patterns and textures, which work great for showing through that beautiful late afternoon sun. Maxis work well with this type of style and don't forget the accessories!

And finally, the Complimentary colors of purple and yellow. As humans, we're naturally drawn to complimentary colors. Studies show that these colors are more appeasing to the eyes. For these portrait sessions, I've chosen the complimentary colors of purple and yellow. Even though the sunflowers themselves will also begin the same hue as the light yellow color in this outfit, it still lends beautifully to an aesthetically pleasing color palette and really gives the opportunity for some serious color pop!
